Are you ready to get out of the climbing gym and take your climbing outdoors? Is sport climbing around Lake Tahoe not enough for you? Do you want to learn how to set bomber protection and build safe belays? Then Lover’s Leap is the perfect place to start learning how to trad climb.

In this course climbers will learn the foundation to become a safe and efficient outdoor trad leader.   Instruction will be giving on gear placements, racking gear, multi-pitch and top-rope anchors, equalization of anchors, managing belay stations, communication skills, protecting the leader and follower, rope management, and rappelling.  If the instructor feels confident in the progress of the skills being taught, climbers can potentially lead an easy trad climb by the end of the day.
